The Toronto Rifles were a minor-league professional American football team based in Toronto, Ontario. The franchise began play in 1964 as the Quebec Rifles of the United Football League. The Rifles announced they were folding on September 5, 1967 due to heavy financial losses. They were reinstated by the league the next week but under the condition of finishing their schedule with road games only. After playing just one more game, however, the Rifles were suspended on September 21 and never returned.
