The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in the Los Angeles, California metropolitan area. The Rams compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the National Football Conference (NFC) West division. The Rams play their home games at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, which they share with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The team started play as the Cleveland Rams in 1936 as a member of the short-lived American Football League (not the same as the 1960s version). They moved to the NFL in 1937 and left Cleveland after winning the league title in 1945.
