The Baltimore Blades were a professional ice hockey team based in Baltimore, Maryland that played in the World Hockey Association. They began play in 1972 as the Los Angeles Sharks, a charter WHA franchise. After a brief stint in Michigan the franchise relocated to Baltimore in January 1975 and disbanded at the end of the season.
