The 1966 MLB season ended when the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 4 games to 0 in the World Series.
The Atlanta Braves played their inaugural season in Georgia, following their relocation from Milwaukee. Two teams opened new stadiums: the California Angels in Anaheim Stadium and the St. Louis Cardinals in Busch Memorial Stadium.
