The 2022-23 English football season will be the 143rd season of competitive association football in England. The season will begin in July 2022 due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup taking place from November 21 to December 18, 2022, the first time that an entire football season will have to begin a month earlier than normal since the 1945-46 season began with The Football League's annual meeting in London that regional leagues should continue for one more season.
