I think it would be an understatement of the highest order to say that this year’s World Series is one of the most historically important in many, many years. One way or another, a decades-long cha,championship drought will be coming to an end.
For the Cleveland Indians, it could mean their first Major League Baseball championship since the Harry Truman administration. For the Chicago Cubs, I think we all know what’s at stake here — the longest title drought in any of the four major North American professional sports (107 years and counting).
